The Fundação D. Pedro IV is a Particular Institution of Social Solidarity, which origins remount to 8 of May of 1834, and it acts especially in 3 great operational areas:

Childhood - where it detains 7 establishments in Lisbon with around 850 children including several valencies; Social Dwelling - where it has around 25 fires in the area of the Great Lisbon for social leasing and not housing; Homes - where it manages one of the biggest equipments of the Region of Lisbon with several social slopes.

In parallel it develops actions in the context of his mission and what includes the use of the auditorium D. Pedro IV, for actions in the social area, and the execution of projects of investment of several nature.
